Who can apply

Applicant must be born outside the U.S. or have two parents born outside the U.S. Applicant must be either a graduating senior at a high school in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia or have earned a GED within the last four years and reside in District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. Current college students are not eligible to apply. Applicant must plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public two-year community college or four- year college/university in the U.S., for the academic year. Applicant must have had a family income of less than $129,100; varies by the number of people in the family, please visit website for details. There is no citizenship requirement.
