Under BIPP, the Government offers support to startups in partnership with industries for research in frontier futuristic technology areas. The Biotechnology Industry Partnership Programme (BIPP) is a government partnership with industries for support on a cost sharing basis for research in frontier futuristic technology areas. It is focused on IP creation with ownership retained by Indian industry and wherever relevant, by collaborating scientists.

Who can apply
Single company or consortia of companies incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013; or Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) incorporated under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, jointly with or without the following: β€’ Public/private university/colleges in India β€’ National research laboratories β€’ Not-for-profit private research labs/societies/foundation/NGO
How to prepare
Call for Applications are announced twice a year (1st April – 15th May; 1st September – 15th October) β€’ Proposals are required to be submitted online only. Call for proposals and application link can be found on the BIRAC website: https://birac.nic.in/cfp.php
