Open to any writer with a signed publishing contract (Canada, UK, or US) by the deadline; not restricted by nationality, age, or prior publishing history, but self-published contracts and certain genres (self-help, textbooks, YA) are excluded.
How to prepare
Review the Whiting Foundation's list of past Nonfiction Grant recipients and their projects; prepare draft chapters (up to 15,000 words) and secure your publisher's letter of support well before the deadline.
