A fully-funded residency of up to eight weeks at MacDowell's campus in Peterborough, NH, giving artists free studio space, private accommodations, and meals to focus on their work. Need-based financial assistance is also available to cover travel, lost income, and childcare costs.

Who can apply
Open to artists in architecture, film/video, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theatre, and visual arts; must be at least 21 and not currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program; may apply only once every 24 months.
How to prepare
Prepare work samples from the last four years per the online portal requirements; MacDowell recently dropped the reference-letter requirement, so the work sample and project statement carry the most weight.
